I was supposed to have annual valentine dinner with my friends at Sushi Tei (as usual) but it turned out that the receptionist forgot that we've booked a table for twelve about a week earlier and gave away our table to someone else. That was very disappointing because it was Valentine's Day and it's no doubt that all the good and nice restaurants were fully booked. No where else to go, we decided to have our dinner at Cemara Asri. After dinner, we wanted to go karaoke but it was full everywhere.. Then, I decided to go straight home instead of joining my friends playing pool at Shoot Sports Bar because I was too tired and sick. Oh well :( this year's Valentine's Day was not as memorable as last year's, but at least I was spending it with the people I love.
I was so happy at this moment. Let me tell you why. My sisters and I baked about 250++ pieces of chocolates, then put 2 to 9 pieces in each of the boxes, depend on the size of the boxes. The boxes were just transparent and plain, so I decided to add some gifts ribbons to some smaller boxes and bow ties with some tiny dried flowers on the top of them to the some bigger boxes. On Valentine's Day, I helped out at my godmother's florist. It was so crowded because it was Valentine! As I would help until before I went to campus, I brought along the chocolates with me. There, many customers asked me if those chocolates were for sale. I thought they hadn't brought any chocolates, so I recommended them to a local famous store where they sell a large numbers of chocolates with fine quality. I told them that those chocolates were my handmade chocolates and they were all for my friends and families. Surprisingly, they told me that they've bought the chocolates I recommended them and they'd like to buy my handmade chocolates because they look simple but pretty. The ribbons on the plain boxes were eye-catching! I was surprised yet so happy to hear that because, my chocolates were nothing compared to those expensive chocolates. Some customers literally forced me to sell those chocolates to them. Who wouldn't be happy to receive such compliment? I was in cloud nine for the whole day because of that. Yay! :D
Anyway, happy (belated) Valentine's Day, lovers!!! I hope each and every of you were spending Valentine's Day happily.
