This is a post I've typed last year, but never had the courage to post it. I am not the type of person who is going to complain about everything in my life. I believe, everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, things may not go as smooth as you expected, no matter how much effort you've made, things will just fall apart..from bad to worse.

So, this is goodbye.. Giving up is easy; but trying to work things out when the whole world is standing against you, that's the real effort I want. I never thought it would end up this way, but I don't regret. I would treasure all the good and bad memories we had, because they are worth to be remembered. Good memories would remind me of how lucky I was to have someone like you. Bad memories would be considered as lessons to be learned. It is not that bad to be alone again. I already did for the last 18 years of my life. So, do not pity me for that. Like what you used to say: if it's meant to be, then it will be. Take good care of yourself. Live a happy life. I wish you nothing but the best.

Celebrating new year's ever with my big family at Aunt's villa. We had BBQ party and then went to an annual new year party held by my Aunt's neighbour. I accidentally bumped into Ripin there and had my countdown with him. He was the first person I greeted Happy New Year face-to-face! :D

My 2011 was pleasant although I had to face some unexpected and unwanted bad things..I know there is no such thing called perfection, but trust me, I don't want perfection, I want effort. I can't describe how disappointed I was (probably still am) towards someone...but, just like what a friend of mine said: "I've taught myself not to expect too much because when it comes to you, disappointment is inevitable."

To me, 2012 marks a new beginning..a fresh start. As always: hope for the best, prepare for the worst! ☺ Hopefully, 2012 will be an amazing chapter in my life.

Spent almost everyday of last week with some of my friends and with my best friend forever, Miranda. She was in town for a week! I really wished she could stay here longer..a week time is not enough when you had so much to talk about!

I ate like crazy during that week, breakfast-brunch-lunch-teatime-dinner-snack, I even consumed McD burgers at 2 in the morning..but thank God, instead of gaining some weight, I lose 8 pounds!!! I was glad that I lose some weight without even trying, but at this point, I need to gain about 4 pounds because I need to fit in my dresses for cousins' wedding parties :( oh well, my happiness is officially ruined.

Tiring and torturing final-week is finally over! Auf wiedersehen to finals and holla to semester break!!! I have been consuming lots of coffee (or even too much) lately but I remain falling asleep easily. I believe I need substitution for coffee because caffeine is no longer working on me. This weekend was amazing! I was technically spending my Friday, Saturday and Sunday with lots of fun to balance myself with the stress I've earned from finals :P I bet I will be very productive and busy during December since there are lots of things coming up! Joyfully welcoming semester break. Like I said, this December is gonna be one of zee best month ever! :D

Woke up at 9 am..which mean TROUBLE!!! Selina and I were supposed to wake up at 7, re-checked our stuffs, had breakfast and then gathered at the lobby at 10 am. My flight was at 3 pm, while Selina's was at 9 pm. So, we skipped breakfast, took a quick bath, checked our stuffs and arrived at lobby at 10 am sharp. We cheered when we found out that we made it! Lol yeah, we're lame. Lame is our middle name I think.

I left Genting at 10.30 am and arrived KLIA at 1.30 pm. Had a quick lunch at Old Town Coffee with Vinny..

Today's schedule: free!!!

I didn't like Genting. Both of the indoor and outdoor theme park were not entertaining enough, my favourite brands didn't open any stores there, and I was not eligible to get into the casino because I was still 18. Yeah pity me.. So, we were leaving KL tomorrow, but Jessica had decided to extend her stay because her mom would come to KL tomorrow. So tomorrow, when I was on my way to KLIA because I was going back to Medan, Jessica would be on her way to KLIA because she was going to meet her mom. But since it was too boring at Genting, Jessica decided to go back to Kuala Lumpur earlier today! She said that Tantri would pick her up at 5 pm. So, Selina and I accompanied Jessica to meet Mr.Chariman to ask for permission to leave earlier and then had our breakfast.

After breakfast, we met Danny and Vicky. The five of us agreed that Genting was a super boring place and talked for a while..and of all sudden, Jessica came up with an idea. Rather that walking around like living deads at Genting, why didn't the four of us come with her to KL? Sounds interesting! After a long discussion, we decided to go to KL at 1 pm by ourselves instead of waiting for Tantri. And here we go, Kuala Lumpur!

Only four of us went to the movie because Jessica would love to spend her time with Tantri! Aww! Lovebirds! After the movie, we walked around then headed back to Genting. After dinner, Selina and I met up with Vicky and Danny again. Feeling bored..we decided to go to casino! Yes, c-a-s-i-n-o. Danny and Selina weren't allowed to get in because the security guards asked for their identity card and it was stated at their id cards that they were still 18! Pity them! Vicki and I got in easily! The security guard didn't even check my id card! Yes, it was awesome! Inside the casino, I wanted to try the gamble table, but I had to idea how to gamble, not even the slightest idea! So I ended up playing the jackpot machine! I lost RM 20 TT_TT and Vicky asked whether I would love to gamble because he could teach me how to gamble...but no, I decline because I never like gambling.. So, we went out then met up with Danny, Selina, Raghuman and Yudhi and accompanied them to play pool.

After that, Selina and I went to Starbucks to meet up with Vinny, Meily, Jessica, Maggie, and Stephanie.

went back to our room at 4 am..yes, today was unbelievably tiring and amazing!

Today's schedule: lunch buffet at a local restaurant, visit Gua Batu, Genting!!!

Another boring schedule. After lunch, we found out that we would visit Gua Batu soon. I knew that Gua Batu was an amazing place, and we would go there to pray...but well, none of the three of us felt like going there. We preferred to stay at hotel or go to Lot 10 or Fahrenheit, but again and again, we met Mr.Tanadi, our super kind chairman. He was like asking us, "so, are you girls happy now? Same hotel room..same bus.. Happy and satisfied right?" We replied him, "yes, but we'd preferred to stay at hotel or go to Suria KLCC than Gua Batu :(" Then he told us that we were supposed to go to Suria KLCC yesterday, but due to not-enough-time, the plan was cancelled. We were shocked and we asked Mr.Tanadi jokingly why didn't he allow us to go to Suria KLLC by ourselves, we could take taxi to Genting later on. After some time, our conversation ended. Then we headed back to the bus.

Inside the bus, our tour guide told us that Mr.Tanadi had decided to change our destination from Gua Batu to Suria KLCC!! Everyone was very very happy! Yes, no one would love to visit Gua Batu at that time. Here are some pictures taken at Suria KLCC.

We arrived Genting at about 7pm. After we had our dinner, we decided to walk around the stores at Genting then we met Eric. Eric challenged the coward me to get into the haunted house and the coward me accepted his challenge because we felt bored!!! Well, if you knew me well, I bet you know that I am a coward. I am afraid of ghost, evil-spirit, darkness, and blablabla. Yes, I am a total coward!

Only 8 people were allowed to get into the haunted house per session so there were Selina, Jessica, Eric, Angela, Charine, me and two India guys. Inside the haunted house, I couldn't help but tremble. It was so creepy!!!!!!! I was scared to death and after a while, I didn't dare to move even a step. Thank God, the India guys helped me. One of them stood in front of me and told me to look at the floor while follow his steps, the other one stood next to me. My friends stood behind me. The India guys helped us to get out of the house. Yes, I was so silly! Everyone laughed at me as we got out of the haunted house...Okay, I was embarrassed!

After haunted house, we went to "Ripley's Museum". We saw lots of amazing things inside there..I really would love to visit there again! Some pictures taken at the museum..I didn't take any picture at the haunted house although that was my initial plan because I was too afraid of the fake ghosts.

In this picture, Jessica seemed to be standing on my left side and Selina on my right side, but actually, Jessica was standing on my right side and Selina on my left side! Yes, cool mirror!

We went back to our room around 9.30 pm and then, due to lack of sleep, we slept earlier..

Today's schedule: went to somewhere near KLCC and Grand Palace to take pictures (yes, this was the silliest and stupidest activity ever), visited a chocolate company, Sunway Pyramind, free time!!!

We were walking around the hotel when we met our campus' chairman, who went to KL with us, Mr.Tanadi early in the morning..have some talk with him and then he decided to put the three of us in the same bus! Yay! He was so nice! We initially hated him because we thought that he was a strict and stubborn person but who knows that he was such a nice person?

Headed to Sunway Pyramid afterwards..we were given two hours of free time there (4pm - 6pm). Selina, Jessica,and I decided to do something crazy. We decided to go back to hotel by ourselves! Not by taxi, but by bus! Public transportation! We didn't have hard time getting permissions from our group leader but we did have hard time trying to figure out how to go back to hotel. You see, public transportation at Malaysia is not as convenience as the public transportation at Singapore and our hotel was at Bukit Bintang. It was quite far from Sunway Pyramid. There was no this-bus-will-go-to-this-place list to guide us but much thanks to a very nice India lady who instructed us how to go back to hotel safely. So, we took bus number-i-forget to Pudu. After we arrived Pudu, we were supposed to take another bus Bukit Bintang, but we were too tired and we couldn't wait any longer, so we gave up...hail to taxi!

Back to hotel, put our stuff inside our room then we took a cab to The Gardens Mall to meet up with Tantri.

We successfully forced Tantri to send us back to hotel by public transportation! It's impossible for us to ride on public transportation by ourselves because of the inconvenience and also because of safety reasons. But with Tantri around, why not? Besides, he knew well how to travel around KL by public transportation!

Went to Malaysia on Oct 10th with college friends. It was actually a study tour program from my university. Arrived KLIA at 11+ pm. Headed to "Crocodile Farm" for lunch then HELP Campus for seminars afterward. Fyi, HELP Campus will change its name into HELP University next year.

The toilet for students were full, so Jessica, Selina and I decided to look for another toilet. A lecture at the campus took pity on us and told us to use gent's toilet for faculty member because the lady's was full. Yes, first day at Malaysia and I went to gent's toilet. The gent's toilet was empty of course!

Then we were divided into 6 groups and were given seminar. There, we had some games and psychological quizzes.

We arrived at hotel at about 9 pm! It was a very tiring day! So, Selina, Jessica, and I decided to take a quick bath before deciding what to do next. Anyway, we were not supposed to stay together in the same room because we have been separated into different buses; but we successfully convinced our super kind group leader to let us stay in the same room. Yes, we're the boss!

Then we decided to go to Pavillion.. Tantri, Jessica's boyfriend who was studying at Malaysia, came to visit her although it was already too late and his place was about 2 to 3 hours ride from city!!! Aww, wasn't that sweet?

We hardly felt tired or sleepy, so we went to the nearest Starbucks to have some drinks and decided to go back to hotel only because the employee at Starbucks told us that they're going to close soon..

Back to hotel, we still couldn't sleep. So we talked and talked till 4 am then forced ourselves to sleep.

Went to Karina's farewell dinner at the rooftop of Spaggedies/ Eccexx on September 22nd.

and the game begins....some of the people decided to play with Karina's toy guns....they filled the toy guns with water and sprayed it to everyone at start, but then they began to fill the toy guns with alcohol drinks, soft drinks, and even beers!!! Some of them even took bottles of beers and splashed it to everyone around them!!!

September 11th was probably one of the busiest day ever. I woke up early in the morning to attend my cousin's tea ceremony and marriage blessing. I went to his place at 8, helped out with some stuffs then headed to the temple to attend the blessing ceremony. Went back to his place again to attend the tea ceremony. It's Chinese custom for the newly wed to present cups of tea to their families..married family members or elder to be precise.

I was supposed to meet Cory at 2pm just now, but she was late. I ended up waiting for her from 1:30 pm till 2:45 pm alone. Novels would be a great companion, but stupid me, I left my novels in the car.

Finally Cory arrived and we worked on her brand new polaroid camera + films and aquapix + films which were birthday gifts from her lover, Daniel.

Sebelum acara "Kick Andy" hadir di dunia pertelevisian Indonesia, acara televisi yang paling sering saya tonton adalah sinetron. Umur saya saat itu masih belia, di bawah 13 tahun. Namun seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, saya sadar bahwa banyak sekali tayangan di dunia televisi Indonesia yang tidak bermutu dan tidak layak untuk ditonton. Bagaimana tidak? Ada sinetron yang menampilkan sekelompok pelajar SMU yang mengenakan pakaian seragam yang ketak dengan rok yang dipendekkan ke sekolah. Terlebih lagi aksesorisnya yang berlebihan, baik di rambut maupun di badan. Apa benar sekolah-sekolah di Indonesia mengizinkan murid-muridnya untuk berpakaian sedemikian rupa ke sekolah? Ada pula yang menayangkan seorang pelajar SMU menyewa orang-orang bayaran untuk mencelakai dan memperkosa musuhnya. "Bagaimana mungkin hal itu terjadi?" pikir saya. Sangat tidak pantas mengingat sebagian besar konsumen acara televisi di Indonesia adalah anak-anak hingga remaja. 'Hikmah' yang saya petik dari sinetron-sinetron tersebut, selain untuk terus menerus melakukan balas dendam terhadap musuh saya, adalah untuk melawan orang tua, berdandan seheboh mungkin di sekolah, menindas orang-orang yang secara ekonomi kurang mampu, dan hal-hal negatif lainnya.

Jujur saja, karena tidak ada acara yang bermutu di televisi (selain acara berita tentunya) saja menjadi males untuk menonton TV dan menganggap, "ah, hancur betul lah dunia pertelevisian di Indonesia." Kemudian, Mama mengenalkan saya pada acara "Kick Andy". Sejak pertama kali saya menonton acara Kick Andy, saya jatuh cinta. Andy F. Noya telah menginspirasi saya untuk berbuat lebih banyak untuk sesama, mengajari saya bahwa sesungguhnya hal yang baik dan besar itu bermula dari kebiasaan-kebiasaan kecil yang sering saya abaikan. Kick Andy juga telah mengajari saya untuk mensyukuri apa yang telah saya miliki. Saya belajar banyak dari Kick Andy. Setelah menonton acara Kick Andy, ada kalanya saya merasa malu pada diri saya sendiri. Saya disekolahkan oleh orang tua saya di salah satu sekolah swasta terbaik di kota Medan, namun saya tidak serius dalam belajar. Padahal di luar sana, terdapat banyak anak-anak yang ingin dapat terus bersekolah seperti saya, namun nasib mereka tidak seberuntung saya. Saya selalu menanti-nanti acara Kick Andy. Singkat kata, Kick Andy telah mengubah saya menjadi pribadi yang lebih bersyukur dan berterima kasih kepada Tuhan atas karunia yang telah diberikan-Nya. Jikalau pada hari Jumat saya berhalangan untuk menonton acara Kick Andy, saya pasti menonton acara ulangannya di hari Minggu. Kick Andy telah menjadi bagian daripada hidup saya.

I went to a concert at Novotel on Sunday, initial plan was to help Miss Jennifer as an usher, but it turned out that Miss Jennifer had chosen me to become the MC.

Too bad I didn't have the picture of them performing at the concert. They were both awesome! I couldn't find the right word to describe their performance. I was amazed, the smooth melodies coming from their piano and violin have hypnotized me. I don't think i'm the only one being hypnotized by them, I believe all of the audiences were hypnotized too.

To be truthful, Iskandar has made me fell in love with violin. I hope to see his performances again in the future considering he's living in Germany. Iskandar was a very nice person. Before I met and talked to him, I thought that I wouldn't be able to talk much with him because he's a professional violinist and I knew nothing about music, but then we talked about everything. He was a very friendly person!

Perfect end for the night? Iskandar gave me the bouquet of flowers he received. Does that not prove him being nice? Haha by the way, Iskandar's new album will be released next month. Name of the album is "Bach 'n' Blues". Be sure to check it out guys!!!

love of my life : my very first love

This post is dedicated to my first love. I decided to blog about him, because I think about it of all sudden, and I believe that my first love story was cute. Hahaha I am too random, I know, but blogging about him is a good boredom killer.

I fell in love for the first time when I was in the 4th grade of primary sch. My first love was Geoffrey Tanudjaya. I've known him since 3rd grade cause we're in the same examination class and we sat at the same row. He was a very smart, hard-working, and nice guy. I still remember when his best friend, Valencia Gunawan, delivered a love-letter for me on Sept 2002 and told me that it's from Geoffrey. I was very happy but then embarrassed when my math teacher, Mr.Rony, discovered the letter and he didn't just read the content out loud but also asked Geoffrey to come to my class and interrogated him :| I decided to throw the love letter away (now I feel regret for doing that) because I was afraid Mom would be mad if she found out. In his letter, he told me that he loved me and asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I did replied him, but I didn't write any poems like him, just plain letter. I have forgotten what I wrote. One thing for sure, we literally dated since then. Geoffrey was a very sweet guy. Even before he confessed his feeling to me, he had bought lots of snacks from canteen and shared them with me. He knew which were my favourite and he visited my class everyday (we're not in the same class).

He gave me a rose on valentine, fake one. It was made out of some piece of clothes. He wanted to give me directly, that's why he asked me to wait for him at a place after our class ended but I didn't have the courage to meet him face-to-face since everyone was teasing us! So he asked Jessica to give it to me. When i brought the rose home, my whole family was surprised: my aunts, uncles, grandma, also my parents. their 4th grade nephew, grand-daughter, daughter received a rose from a guy? LOL

He gave me lots of gifts, some holiday souvenirs, snacks, rose, but my most favourite one is a pen case. idk what to call it, tempat pen? pen case? When we're on he 6th grade of primary school, there's a month when he didn't talk to me at all and I was pissed off. My best friend, Miranda, who used to sit in front of him told me nothing's wrong but still I was very angry. Later then, I found out that he's studying harder to get more money from his parents, so that he could buy me more-expensive-than-a-fake-rose valentine gift which is the heart-shaped-pencil-holder.Isn't that sweet? (I knew it from Miranda) hahaha.

He text-ed me at 12 am on my birthday. He used to be the number one and I used to be the number one on his birthday too! We also used to go to the same Mandarin tuition, and yes his smart brain has somehow sent him to higher level, so, we literally dated before the class started.

He's why I decided to join athletics, because we trained around basketball court! he took basket ball as his co-curricular activities.

He's why I saved some money for Valentine.

He's why I forced my driver to pick me up at 12:50 instead of 12:10 every Friday so that I could wait for him near the basketball court while he was playing.

He's why I stole my phone from my mom.

He's why I should save more money to pay more for my phone's voucher.

He's why I typed this post.

During my 3 years relationship with him (Sept 2002 till Aug 2005), we text-ed like a few times a month and almost never called each other. Even when we met at school, we just smiled, rarely talked to each other. you asked me how can we made it to 3 years? Ha ha, I'd love to know too!!! Nope, we didn't go on date, watch movies, hold hands, etc, no. But I really would like to thank him for the wonderful three years. Small attention from him could really lighten up my whole week! Just by remembering how sweet he treated me, I could smile to sleep!!!

There you go, my first love! he received ASEAN Scholarship on Sept 2006 (if I was not mistaken) and decided to study at Singapore, told ya he's a genius!! We decided to ended our relationship, because we've grown up and things changed. We are good friends now :)

Phylicia's actual birthday was on Jan 9th. So after the birthday party ended at 12++ AM, we decided to throw a surprise party for her at Irsan's. First, we asked Vincent to drive her around, while David, Agnes, Cindy, Tiffany, Elva, Jovian, Miando, Irsan, Gavin and I prepared fireworks and cakes. It was nearly a mess because we told Vincent to drive Phylicia around while we prepared all the stuffs but he drove too far and we have to waited for them for almost an hour.
